The idea of considering the cultural aspects of our people, as a starting point for the teaching of Brazilian Portuguese, motivates us to offer meaningful learning. You can not know and understand a new language if you do not know its history, learning through art, play, dance, our culture.
Studying at ICI means knowing and experiencing a pleasant experience of Brazilian culture, through learning the Portuguese language. From the beginning of the program, you will be in contact with the native speakers, will participate in intercultural encounters
Regular, walk around the school district, to better understand the area where they normally live and study. The “Language Exchange” is offered to students who wish to practice the conversation with other Brazilians who also wish to practice another language.
Here you will have a team of graduate and specialized teachers, who will always be ready to serve you as needed. Other professionals will also be happy and happy to help you.

Our Team
Quality of instruction is our priority. That is why our team is made up of instructors and professionals that are committed to offering the best in terms of teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. All of the instructors in our school are native Portuguese speakers. We believe we can always do more and improve. This is why we meet periodically to discuss our teaching methods and techniques to see how they can be improved to help our students learn the language quickly and efficiently.
Facilities and location
Our institute is located in one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Salvador, close to the calmest, most beautiful beaches of the city: the Porto da Barra and Farol da Barra. The inhabitants of Barra enjoy a walkable neighborhood with all the daily necessities. Shopping centers, supermarkets, drug stores, restaurants, laundromats and other services are within easy reach. The school is easily accessible from any point in the city. It is located in a colonial-style house, occupying two floors, and has a patio and a large garden. The house “floats” in the greenery of the trees looking out over the street. Our classrooms are spacious, well-equipped and air conditioned, with DVD players, televisions, and computers. We also have projectors that are used during classes and mini-movie sessions that we plan for our students.
